Amanda, a co-worker of mine, has been asking me about a family portrait session for quite some time.  Finally we were able to set a date and I was introduced to the rest of her family.  Marcos seemed like a real nice guy who was up for anything and Maya was just gorgeous.  She’s a beautiful little girl who, after a little warming up period, stole the show.  I think the pictures turned out great but you decide for yourself.

Robin emailed me recently asking if I could do a maternity shoot that included her son Kale.  After all was said and done, they were an adorable mother and son and I think the pictures came out great.  Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

Every once in a while I come across pictures that I really like.  This would be one of those times.  Sadly, like a lot of women, Kim doesn’t like most of the pictures taken of her.  That fact makes it all the more rewarding when she does like one.

I’ve known these kids their whole lives.  It makes me feel old to say that.  I know they haven’t been around that long but it still makes me feel old.  Cassidy and Chris happen to be the kids of a couple that I consider some of my best friends.  Having met Katie through an ex-girlfriend in high school and Jason through his smart ass little brother Mike, we have a little history.  I’ve been photographing these kids since they were born but this was the first "official" shoot.  Things went very well despite how chilly it was.  I did have a slight advantage though.  My daughter emily came along and Cassidy absolutely loves her.  I’m sure I will take many more photographs of these two throughout the years.

We had a really fun shoot the other night with some new friends of ours.  Brian and Renee are great to hang out with and their kids are hilarious.  Kim and I look forward to spending more time with them in the future.  Here are some of my favorites from the shoot for you to enjoy.

My good friends Steve and Katie just had their first child… a beautiful baby girl.  We got a chance last week to bring them over dinner and hang out for a while.  Of course the camera made an appearance.  Here she is, little 5 day old Lily.

Engagement sessions are a great way to get to know wedding couples.  This one was no exception.  We had a great time walking around Avila Beach talking about wedding plans taking tons of pictures.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Normally 2000 miles apart, the Mills family all came together this Easter and wanted some family pictures.  It was a win-win situation.  I got some good shots and the kids got a rare chance to play at the beach.

Portrait sessions with friends are always a good time.  It creates a relaxed environment and makes getting great shots that much easier.  This family is great and I think everyone had a good time.  Here are some of my favorites.
